2010 $1 Fine Silver Proof Coin, 100 Years of Australian Coinage, Made to Order Series. The commencement of Australia's official currency was heralded by the arrival of the first silver coins from the London Mint in 1910. The first shipment consisting entirely of shillings, arrived in March 1910 and the threepence, sixpence and florins arrived in October. These coins undoubtedly represented a new chapter in Australia's history. Certificate of Authenticity is included with this coin numbered 3923. These coins were produced to demand with a mintage of 4975.
