"The Don" is acknowledged as the greatest cricketer ever to play the game, and one of Australia's most respected sportsmen. He was blessed with an unerring hand and eye coordination, his unwavering concentration was developed as a youth by hitting a gold ball with a stump in the backyard of his family home in Bowral. Sir Donald Bradman made is debut for NSW in the 1927-28 season and amassed 28,068 runs in first class matches including 117 hundreds. Certificate of Authenticity is included, with this coin numbered 11639. Mintage 25,500 struck by the Royal Australian Mint.
