The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is the pre-eminent forum for facilitating economic growth and prosperity through the promotion of cooperation, trade and investment liberalisation in the Asia-Pacific region. 2007 the Australian Government hosted APEC, bringing together representatives from APEC's 21 member economies in a series of meetings across Australia.
